Have you ever considered making your own cleaning products at home? In this post, you get our best sustainable cleaning tips with ingredients that you probably already have at home in the pantry! We're getting started!
Tip 1: Use bicarbonate.
Bicarbonate is not only effective in baking but can also be used as a helper when it comes to cleaning our homes.
First, remove the bedding, sheets and any mattress cover. Pour a little bicarbonate lightly over the mattress. Let sit for an hour and then vacuum off. Voilá, you have a clean mattress!
Clean the microwave
Mix two spoons of bicarbonate with just over 2 dl of water in a bowl. Place the bowl in the micron and heat for 3-5 minutes. The bicarbonate will help remove unpleasant odors and the fumes soften dried stains along the walls. When the timer sounds, simply wipe the walls and the micron is like new.
Clean the oven
Make sure the oven is turned off and cool. Sprinkle bicarbonate over the stains and spray with water or a solution of water and vinegar. Let sit for 25-30 minutes before wiping.
Tip 2: Smart cleaning tips with vinegar
Vinegar is effective in cleaning stubborn grease and water stains.
Clean the coffee maker
For many of us, the coffee maker is one of our most beloved and used utensils in the kitchen. Therefore, it is important to clean it from time to time. By combining equal parts vinegar and water and letting the mixture flow through a couple of times, you clean it of lime and other impurities. To prevent any vinegar from remaining in the machine and giving it a taste, it is a good idea to finish by soaking ordinary water in the kettle 2-3 times before brewing coffee again.
Clean the refrigerator
Another place that is important to also clean at more regular intervals is the refrigerator. Mix vinegar and warm water and spray on walls and shelves. Wipe with a dishcloth.

Clean the mirror
Another area of use for vinegar is as a mirror cleaner. Mix vinegar with a few drops of detergent and water and you have an effective spray for cleaning mirrors, windows or why not to get rid of stubborn soap residue and water stains from the shower cubicle?
Given the strong odor of vinegar the homemade solution probably has, we recommend our freshly scented, non-toxic mirror cleansing tablets.
Tip 3: Clean with citric acid
Lemon is often used as a cleanser in the home in various ways. Citric acid or regular lemons are effective cleansers and can neutralize bad odors.
Adding a teaspoon of citric acid to the detergent compartment and running the machine empty is an effective way to clean it and also get rid of bad odors.
Citric acid is excellent to use in the bathroom as well. A teaspoon of vinegar combined with a teaspoon of citric acid and water becomes an effective spray to clean the bathroom with. It is great to add essential oils if you want more fragrance. Use the spray to clean the tiles, toilet seat and shower in the bathroom. Let sit for 10-20 minutes and then dry.
